Come walk and wade some of BC's most productive, remote and unexplored rivers

How we fish

We are very proficient in most styles of fishing from conventional to single handed fly rods and if you are Spey fisher person no worries we will pout you into water where the fish are! Your guide will help suggest a method to match the targeted fish species and your abilities. We are here to instruct & guide you at your preference, and can be as hands-on, or hands-off, as you like.

Rivers: We predominately walk and wade rivers or drift rivers in pontoon watercraft. We do not use jet boats as most of the waters we fish are most accessible on foot allowing for a more secluded personal experience. We also believe in providing salmon and steelhead a place of sanctuary free from boats.

Lakes: We fish lakes from belly boats, pontoon, and aluminum power boats. The type and size of watercraft used depends on the lake, species , and group size.

Level wind reels have a mechanism to distribute the line evenly when retrieving. It requires a bit more training and experience compared to conventional spin-cast type gear, but gives anglers increased versatility in techniques; such as casting lures, twitching jigs, float fishing, bottom bouncing, and more! We use top quality gear such as Abu Garcia C3/C4 models & Shimano Calcutta's.

Centerpin Rods

What sets centerpin fishing apart from other techniques is how the reels spins freely with no drag. This allows your drift to run drag free, meaning your float and bait move unrestricted in the water making it a superior form of float fishing - its very fun! This method is extremely popular and effective among steelhead fisherman, but it is effective on all species.

Spin Casting

Sopin cast fishing rods

Spin-casting is a very effective technique for casting lures and baits, but still versatile and can be used to float fish, troll, throw jigs, and bottom bouncing to target a variety of species. Spinning outfits minimize 'bird nests' and are great for both beginner and advanced anglers. These reels are also excellent at casting light lures and jigs great distances, which can be difficult to cast far using other methods.

Low Profile Bait Cast Combo

Low Profile Baitcast combos take a bit of practice but, once you are proficient, they open up a whole new world of angling options. A perfect choice for twitching maribou jigs. When armed with a jig, this arguably becomes the most effective technique for hooking salmon and steelhead. Using only 3 jigs of different sizes an angler can cover ground quickly and effectively fish any size or depth of water, ruling out if a pool is holding fish or not.

Puppy napping while fishing

Trolling is a very effective method of fishing when targeting Kokanee and Lake Trout (Char) in the lakes around Prince George, and the greater Omineca Region. Flatlining spoons near the surface for trophy sized Lake Trout, and dodger fishing for Kokanee on light gear, are two exciting methods that keep the action going strong all day!
